How to create a wedding website?

A short demonstration of how easy it is to create a wedding website on the WeMarry platform

1. Completion of registration

In order to create a website, you need to sign up.
You do this by clicking the Sign Up button in the top right corner or the Try now button via the home page.
Fill in the email and complete the registration. You can edit the entered data at any time.

2. Filling in the information

Website editing is very intuitive. In the left part of the screen you will see the editor divided into individual sections. In the right part, you will see the live preview of the website.
You can easily add a second language in the Settings tab. The language mutation is not automatically translated, so you have to fill it in yourself.
You will see that the format of the date of the wedding is set automatically according to the system, not according to the language of the website, i.e. that if your system language is English, you will see the date in English format also on the Chinese version of the website.
Upload photos simply via the Upload button. From whatever device you need it, you don't need to move it to your computer or tablet.
After filling in the information, be sure to click the Save Changes button.

3. Theme selection and other style adjustments

If you want to test how your website would look in a different outfit, you can change the template at any time in the Style tab.
In this tab, you can choose a theme, change colors and other elements on your wedding website.
You can edit the website at any time, even after it has been published and sent to wedding guests.

4. RSVP form

First, set the password of the form, in the Settings tab. The password is mandatory and cannot be disabled for security reasons.
So that guests don't have to enter a password, you can send them a special link that automatically unlocks the form. This link will be on the Notice Board under the QR code after payment.
In the form editor, you will see the Built-in Questions and Custom Questions tabs. Fill in the questions that will help you with wedding planning.
You can see the total number of confirmed guests and children on the Overview. Individual guest responses can be found in the Invitations section.

5. Payment and domain selection

You can try creating a website for free. If you want to share the wedding website with friends and use its potential, you need to publish the website.
Click the Pay button to publish your wedding website. You simply pay by card.
After payment, you will see the Choose Domain option. You have two options to choose from.
  1. WeMarry domain - simply select the prefix and the main domain on which your website will be available, e.g. smith.wemarry.io.
  2. Custom domain - if you have purchased your own domain, e.g. smith.com, you will see instructions for changing DNS records, after which your website will available at that address.

6. Sending invitations

You have completed the website, paid and now you would like to invite the wedding guests. With WeMarry you have several options.
  1. Link without password - if you send guests a simple link to a website such as modern.wemarry.io, keep in mind that guests will need a password to confirm their attendance at the wedding.
  2. Link with password - after payment, you will see a link on the message board that will be the password include in the URL. In that case, the form will be unlocked automatically and the guests do not have to fill it in.
  3. Sending by e-mail - if you know the e-mail addresses of your guests, you can send invitations directly to their mailboxes. This method has the advantage that WeMarry recognizes if the guests have filled out the form and if not, automatically reminds them.

7. Overview

The bulletin board functions as an overview and signpost to other sections of the WeMarry application.
You will also find here a countdown to the wedding, an overview of guests, a TO DO list, a QR code to download or a link with which guests will not have to enter a password to the form.
You can add a QR code or a link to the wedding website on the wedding invitation so guests know where to find all the important details about your wedding.
