How to create a wedding website?

Finishing the sign-up

To build the site you need an account. Click Sign up in the top right corner, or the Try it button in the middle of the home page.

Enter your email and finish signing up. You can change anything you enter later.

Filling in the details

Editing the site is very intuitive. On the left you see the editor split into sections, on the right the live preview of the site.

You add a second language in the Settings tab. The translation is not automatic, so you fill it in yourself.

Upload photos with the Upload button, from any device — you do not have to move them to a computer first. Once you have filled things in, do not forget to click Save changes.

Picking a template and adjusting the look

If you want to see how your site would look in a different outfit, you can change the template any time in the Appearance tab. That is also where you change colours and other elements.

The look can be changed at any point — even after publishing and sending the site to your guests.

Wedding gifts

In the wedding gifts section you can tell guests what you would like. There are a few options:

• QR payment — cash gifts are increasingly replacing physical ones. You upload a QR code generated in your banking app, so you can be sure the money lands where it should.
• Gift list — you can list the physical gifts that would make you happy.

The RSVP form

First set a form password in the Settings tab. The password is required and cannot be turned off for security reasons. So that guests do not have to type it, you can send them a special link that unlocks the form automatically (you find it on the Dashboard under the QR code once you have paid).

In the form editor you have Built-in and Custom questions — fill in the ones that help you plan. The total number of confirmed guests and children appears on the Dashboard, and the individual answers in the Invitations section.

Payment and choosing a domain

Building the site is free to try. When you want to share it with your guests, you publish it by clicking Pay — simply by card. After payment you see the Choose a domain option:

• A WeMarry domain — you pick a prefix and the main domain the site will live on, for example modern.wemarry.io.
• Your own domain — if you have bought your own domain (novakovi.cz, say), you get instructions for the DNS changes that make the site available at that address.

Sending the invitations

The site is filled in and paid for, and now you want to invite your guests. There are a few options:

• A plain link — send guests an ordinary link (modern.wemarry.io, for example) — they will need the password to confirm attendance.
• A link with the password — after payment the Dashboard shows a link with the password in the URL — the form unlocks automatically and guests do not have to type anything.
• Send by email — if you know your guests' email addresses, you can send the invitations straight from the app.

The dashboard

The dashboard works as an overview and a jumping-off point into the rest of the app. You will find the countdown to the wedding, a guest overview, the to-do list, a downloadable QR code and the link that lets guests skip the form password.

You can also put the QR code or the link to your wedding website on a printed invitation, so guests know where to find all the details.
