Since October 2026, new accounts are created only in the new version of WeMarry at app.wemarry.io. If you have an account or a website in the old version at wemarry.app, you lose nothing: logging in still works and your website runs until at least the end of 2026. This guide is for couples who want to move to the new version, and it says plainly what that involves.

What is different in the new version and why we rebuilt it from the ground up is summed up in Meet WeMarry 2027. This article is only about the switch itself.

The essentials first

  • The old version keeps running. You will find the login in the footer of this website. The website and the account work until at least 31 December 2026. We will announce the exact end date by e-mail well in advance; nothing gets switched off without a warning.
  • Data is not transferred automatically. The new version is built on a different foundation and weddings cannot be copied between the two. If you want to switch, you set up your wedding again in the new version.
  • Switching is voluntary. If your wedding is in the next few weeks and your website is paid for, stay where you are. Switching makes sense for couples who are still preparing their wedding, typically for 2027.

What to take with you from the old version

Before you start, save three things:

  • 1. Your guest list. In the old version, open the Guest list and download the export (a CSV file that opens in Excel or Google Sheets). Guest replies do not carry over to the new version, but you will have the names and contacts at hand.
  • 2. Your website texts. Copy the texts of the sections (program, venue, accommodation, gifts) into your notes. In the new version you just paste them in.
  • 3. Your photos. Have the cover photo and the section photos ready in their original quality. The new version can crop the cover photo for desktop, phone and the split layout, so a photo with some room around the faces works best.

Step by step

  • 1. Create an account at app.wemarry.io. You can use the same e-mail as in the old version; the accounts are not connected. A short guide asks for your names and the date and place of the wedding.
  • 2. Pick a template. There are eight templates to choose from, each in a classic and a split layout. You can change the template and colors any time and your content stays.
  • 3. Add your texts and photos. Drag the sections into your own order and hide the ones you do not need. On the cover photo, tap the spot that should stay visible.
  • 4. Set up the RSVP. You build the form the way you need it: diet, transport, overnight stay, children by age. Once guests confirm, they go straight into the seating chart.
  • 5. Add your guests. Using the export from the old version, enter names and e-mails. You then send the invitations straight from the app and see for each one that it has arrived.
  • 6. Publish the website. The planner is free; you only pay to publish the website for your guests. Lite costs CZK 990. Medium with RSVP and invitations costs CZK 1,490, Premium with photo collection from guests CZK 1,990. All one-off payments, see the pricing.

The website address

The address of your old website stays with the old website for as long as it runs. When you publish the new website, you choose a new address in the form names.wemarry.io. From the Medium plan you can connect your own domain, such as novakovi.cz, and then send your guests only that.

Frequently asked questions

Will I keep my old website if I create a new one? Yes. Both versions work independently. You can leave the old website running until the new one is just right, and only then send your guests the new address.

How long will the old version run? Until at least 31 December 2026. We will announce the exact end date by e-mail at least two months in advance.

My website in the old version is paid for. Do I have to pay again? The old website runs according to what was paid. The new version is a separate product and publishing in it is paid separately. If you had an account in the old version, you have a discount in your e-mail.

We used the old version in German or Polish. The interface of the new version is in Czech and English for now. The website for guests can hold content in up to 12 languages, and the button labels are in Czech and English. If that is not enough for you, stay with the old version; it keeps working.

What if I get stuck? The new version has help built right into the app. It knows every screen and answers even at night. For anything else, write to info@wemarry.io.
